REV. WILLIAM HIGGINS PREACHES FOR THE FIRST TIME AT GEELONG 1849 |
---|
On Sunday evening last the Rev. William Higgins, of London, and formerly of the county of Essex, preached for the first time in Mr. Williamson's workshop, opposite the South Geelong watchhouse; the place was well filled with attentive hearers.
The above gentleman, who has been connected with the Board of Congregational ministers in London, intends, we believe, (D.V.) to form an Independent Church at Geelong.
